Baseline questions to turn over the quarter
As the quarter comes to a close, at this point you should be reviewing your OKRs for this quarter and planning what to focus on for next quarter.
Regardless of format you choose—slides, email, Slack, etc—make sure you at least review and share the following points about the work this quarter:
(1) What did we accomplish? 👉 i.e. what actual progress did we make on our goals?
(2) What did we do? 👉 what efforts did we make to forward our goals?
(3) What did we learn? 👉 were those efforts effective? Why / why not? What did we learn along the way?
Focus especially on driving learning conversations in the next 1.5 weeks. Most effort in turning over the quarter goes into questions one and two, but three is actually the the most important.
(Hopefully you’ve been using a structure like this one to track your progress throughout the quarter. If not, I suggest you do so next quarter. It’s simpler than it looks.)
